Introducción:
En estudios clínicos se demostró que el clopidogrel evita los eventos isquémicos agudos, con un alto grado de variabilidad interindividual. Los receptores plaquetarios de la glicoproteína IIb/IIIa se ligan al fibrinógeno y al factor de von Willebrand. El polimorfismo del gen P1A de la glicoproteína IIIa modula la función plaquetaria; sobre todo el alelo P1A2 se asocia con un incremento de la reactividad plaquetaria.
