Textos completos autorizados (TCA).
encontrarán comentarios, entrevistas, notas periodísticas, cartas a
complete quality-full texts which have been recently published in
renowned sources worldwide and are indexed by SIIC Data
Bases.
The increasing number of Open Access articles widens the reading offer
but, also, such myriad complicates the readers search of fundamental
articles. To facilitate this, SIIC biomedical professionals daily
consult a profuse amount of documents that will feed
Authorized Full Texts (TCA, Spanish acronym).
The citations of the AFT section link legally, authorized and free of
charge with the full texts published in the official web sites of
their corresponding sources.
SIIC created, produced and handles the AFT software that deciphers
the various documentary fields that form part of the structure of a
study: specialty, study style, source, publication and selection
dates, source definition, query limitations, summary in Spanish,
etc.
While most of the selected texts belong to original articles,
reviews, and guidelines, readers will also find commentaries,
interviews, journalistic reports, letters to authors or other texts
that may lead to discussions or clarifications.

Diabetes remission was more common in Veterans with new-onset diabetes after
SARS-CoV-2. In non-hospitalized participants, who were likely to have more
similar laboratory surveillance, the association was diminished. Differences in

This study investigated the relationship among PA, SII

by SII. These findings contribute valuable insights to inform public health

Based on our LCAs of
seven clinical trials spanning all four phases of development and multiple
disease areas, there are five activities that drive no less than 79% of the
average clinical trial's GHG footprint. These are drug product manufacture,
packaging, and distribution; patient travel; on-site monitoring visit travel; the
collection, transport and processing of laboratory samples; and sponsor staff
commuting between their homes and the office. Understanding the activities that
drive GHG emissions in clinical trials can both guide trial designers in avoiding
or minimising reliance on these activities when designing new trials and guide
trial sponsors in taking targeted actions to reduce GHG emissions from these
activities where their use cannot be avoided. TRIAL REGISTRATION NUMBER:

Development and validation of prediction models for stroke and myocardial infarction in type 2 diabetes based on health insurance claims: does machine learning outperform traditional regression approaches?
Development and validation of prediction models for stroke and myocardial infarction in type 2 diabetes based on health insurance claims: does machine learning outperform traditional regression approaches?
Fuente:Cardiovascular Diabetology
Extracto:
Discrimination performance of claims-based models reached a ceiling at around
0.09 AUPRC and 0.7 AUROC. While for AUROC this performance was comparable to
existing epidemiological models incorporating clinical information, comparison of
other, potentially more relevant metrics, such as AUPRC, sensitivity and Positive
Predictive Value was hampered by lack of reporting in the literature. The fact
that machine learning including deep learning methods did not outperform more
traditional approaches may suggest that feature richness and complexity were
exploited before the choice of algorithm could become critical to maximize
performance. Future research might focus on the impact of different feature
derivation approaches on performance ceilings. In the absence of other more
powerful screening alternatives, applying transparent regression-based models in
routine claims, though certainly imperfect, remains a promising scalable low-cost
approach for population-based cardiovascular risk prediction and stratification.
