Textos Completos Autorizados

Reflective Engagement With a Digital Physical Activity Intervention Among People Living With and Beyond Breast Cancer: Mixed Methods Study.

Reflective Engagement With a Digital Physical Activity Intervention Among People Living With and Beyond Breast Cancer: Mixed Methods Study.

Fuente:Jmir Mhealth and Uhealth

Extracto: We identified a useful method for understanding the reflective processes that can occur during digital behavior change interventions serving people living with and beyond breast cancer. Intervention adherence and the depth of reflection each predicted changes in study outcomes. Deeper reflection on intervention content was associated with beneficial changes in the determinants of sustained behavior change. More research is needed to investigate the relations among digital behavior change intervention use, psychological processes, and intervention efficacy.

Willingness to pay for Social Health Insurance and associated factors among Public Civil Servants in Ethiopia

Willingness to pay for Social Health Insurance and associated factors among Public Civil Servants in Ethiopia

Fuente:Plos One

Tipo de trabajo:Revisión sistemática

Extracto: In this review, the magnitude of willingness to pay for Social Health insurance was low among public Civil servants in Ethiopia. Willingness to pay for Social Health Insurance was significantly associated with monthly salary, educational status, family size, the difficulty of paying medical bills, quality of healthcare services, awareness, and attitude towards the Social Health Insurance program. Hence, it's recommended to conduct awareness creation through on-the-job training about Social Health Insurance benefit packages and principles to improve the willingness to pay among public servants.

Adolescents' life between violence and discipline. Medical care in the "Jugendhäuser" juvenile detention centers in East Germany in the 1960s-1980s.

Fuente:Frontiers in Public Health

Extracto: The health status of young prisoners in the Jugendhäuser in Halle and Dessau was negatively affected by violence and often by lack of medical care. The prevalence of violence can be attributed to challenges of the penal system as well as deficiencies of the medical services. Since repressive means were used to overcome the violence, such efforts were not successful. The medical services did not offer specialized care for juveniles with mental and learning disorders or those who required psychological or even psychotherapeutic support. Physical health issues were also often ignored due to the stigmatization of sick juveniles as malingerers.

Benefits and barriers associated with the use of smart home health technologies in the care of older persons

Fuente:Bmc Geriatrics

Tipo de trabajo:Revisión sistemática

Extracto: SHHTs could be useful in the care context but are not without concerns. Researchers and policy makers can use the information as a starting point to better understand how the roles and outcomes of SHHTs could be improved for the care of older persons, while caregivers of older adults could use our findings to comprehend the scope of SHHTs and to decide when and where such technology could best address their individual family needs. Limitations lie in the possible exclusion of relevant articles published outside the inclusion criteria as well as the fact that due to digital divide, our review represents opinions of those who could and wanted to participate in the included 163 studies. TRIAL REGISTRATION: This review has been registered as PROSPERO CRD42021248543. A protocol was completed in March 2021 with the PRISMA-P guidance. We have extended the review period from 2000 to 2020 since the registration of the protocol to 2000-2021.

QI teams should consider whether a survey is the most appropriate form for capturing information during the improvement process. There is a need to educate and support QI teams to adhere to good practice and avoid common errors, thereby increasing the value of surveys for evaluation and QI.
