Un aporte a la obtención de fármacos con actividad inhibidora de la 5-alfa reductasa y del crecimiento de células prostáticas cancerosas

NUEVOS COMPUESTOS QUE INHIBEN EL CRECIMIENTO DE CELULAS PROSTATICAS CANCEROSAS

Los resultados de diversos experimentos mostraron que los esteroides 4-7 inhibieron la actividad de la 5-alfa reductasa con una CI50 menor de la que tiene la finasterida. Sin embargo, sólo el compuesto 4 disminuyó el peso de la próstata en los experimentos in vivo. Mientras que el crecimiento de las células prostáticas cancerosas y de los linfocitos se inhibió en presencia del compuesto 4 a una concentración de 50 µM, sin embargo los otros esteroides mostraron un efecto de inhibición escaso. En los experimentos in vivo no se observó ningún efecto tóxico producido por los compuestos en estudio.
