A new horizon in tympanoplasty

Ossicular chain damage is the common complication of chronic otitis media, which forms the major bulk of the outdoor cases in Otolaryngology Departments, especially in developing countries. The purpose of this article is to introduce an autologous prosthesis made of cortical bone that is stable, biocompatible magnetic resonance imaging compatible and above all, results in cost effective and sustainable hearing improvement.
