Role of Luminescence Detectors in Radiation Dosimetry
THERMOLUMINESCENCE, OPTICALLY STIMULATED LUMINESCENCE AND RADIOPHOTOLUMINESCENCE DOSIMETRY– AN OVERALL PERSPECTIVE

Presently, although thermoluminescence is a major player in the personnel dosimetry arena, optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technique is becoming more and more popular for various applications in radiation dosimetry. Due to availability of relatively low-Z, high-sensitivity radiophotoluminescence (RPL) glass dosimeters as well as having all good aspects as those for OSL dosimeters, popularity of RPL dosimeters is also expected to increase in future.
