HISTOGENESIS OF SALIVARY GLAND NEOPLASMS
Histological typing based on cellular differentiation rather than cell of origin is a more realistic approach in diagnosis of salivary gland tumors. Immunohistochemistry has a limited role in diagnosis. Cytoarchitectural features should be correlated with histogenetic concepts for better diagnosis of salivary gland tumors.
