Los resultados obtenidos muestran el satisfactorio desempeño del HemoCen Aerobio y su equivalencia con el medio de referencia, lo que hace a este diagnosticador muy útil para detectar bacteriemias provocadas por microorganismos. La sensibilidad, especificidad y exactitud diagnósticas resultaron ser 91.6%, 98.7% y 97.0%, respectivamente. Se detectó una positividad total de 20.7% y se logró aislar e identificar Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, levaduras, Acinetobacter spp., Klebsiella pneumoniae, Serratia marcences y Acinetobacter calcoacetium anitratum.
