El trabajo describe nuevas asociaciones moleculares que explicarían algunos de los efectos nefrotóxicos de los inhibidores de la calcineurina, ciclosporina y tacrolimus, en células del túbulo renal.

REGULACION DE GSK3, SNAIL Y MOLECULAS DE ADHESION POR CICLOSPORINA A EN CELULAS TUBULARES RENALES

Células tubulares expuestas a altas concentraciones de anticalcineurínicos, o un ambiente celular que promueva la apoptosis por estos, podrían resultar en el acoplamiento de vías patogénicas que involucra la participación de GSK3 y Snail como determinantes de la transición epitelial-mesenquimal y de la pérdida de adhesividad en ausencia de TGF-beta.
