O tempo limite à velocidade de VO2max é uma nova área de actuação no treino desportivo de nadadores

RELAÇÃO ENTRE O CUSTO ENERGÉTICO E O TEMPO LIMITE À VELOCIDADE DE VO2MAX

Este estudo confirmou que a economia de nado é um importante factor influenciador do rendimento desportivo em natação. Verificou-se que os nadadores com superiores valores de custo energético e de velocidade correspondente ao VO2max permaneceram menos tempo a essa intensidade, ie, realizaram menor tempo limite à vVO2max. A contribuição energética anaeróbia parece ser uma das principais explicações para esta relação inversa entre tempo limite à vVO2max e a vVO2max.
