Se estudia la naturaleza probabilística de la reacción de captura en boro y sus consecuencias radiobiológicas

LA NATURALEZA PROBABILISTICA DE LA TERAPIA POR CAPTURA NEUTRONICA EN BORO (BNCT)

La eficacia radiobiológica de la BNCT está fuertemente asociada al efecto de la reacción nuclear de captura de neutrones en boro 10. La alta energía depositada tiene una distribución inherentemente probabilística a escala microscópica. El estudio de sus fluctuaciones en el marco de la microdosimetría es esencial para la correcta interpretación del efecto radiobiológico.
