Este estudo reporta um método que utiliza placas de agar com brometo de etídeo e que permite a identificação de actividade de efluxo em estirpes bacterianas multirresistentes.

O MÉTODO DE AGAR COM BROMETO DE ETÍDEO PARA IDENTIFICAÇÃO DE MULTIRESISTÊNCIA MEDIADA POR EFLUXO EM ISOLADOS BACTERIANOS

O método apresentado é simples, de fácil execução e baixo custo, podendo portanto ser facilmente implementado ao nível laboratorial. Adicionalmente, permite a identificação de isolados bacterianos multi-resistentes que apresentam uma sobre-expressão dos sistemas de efluxo. Com base nesta metodologia é possível efectuar uma selecção rápida de um elevado número de isolados.
