INFECCIÓN POR RICKETTSIA MASSILIAE EN EL NUEVO MUNDO

Con este trabajo se pone en evidencia el papel de Rickettsia massiliae como agente etiológico de rickettsiosis del grupo de las fiebres manchadas en el Nuevo Mundo (Buenos Aires, Argentina), utilizando técnicas de biología molecular. Hasta la fecha tan sólo se habían documentado previamente dos casos confirmados en Europa.
