ANTILEUKEMIA ACTIVITIES OF RETINOID AND ARSENIC

All-trans retinoic acid and arsenic trioxide are recently recognized as effective agents to treat acute promyelocytic leukemia. These two agents reduce leukemia cells followed by affecting the function of the PML-RAR alpha, an unusual molecule as a result of the t(15;17) chromosomal translocation.
