Pain Practice
The Official Journal of World Institute of Pain

BB SIIC. Ingreso: 2003-
Edited by: P. Prithvi Raj
Pain Practice, the official journal of World Institute of Pain, publishes international multidisciplinary articles on pain that provide its readership with up-to-date knowledge of the research, evaluation methods, and techniques of pain management. The present literature on pain medicine is diverse and published in a variety of basic and clinical specialty journals. For a practitioner to subscribe to all the venues needed to cover the field of pain medicine would be impractical, if not impossible. Likewise, the literature search can be cumbersome, costly, and entirely unavailable in some areas. As a thorough, multidisciplinary journal, Pain Practice is a convenient, cost-effective way to resolve these dilemmas.
Indexed in SIIC Data Bases and all major databases.

Plant Cell
Published by the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB)

BB SIIC. Ingreso: 03/2005-
The Plant Cell (ISSN 1040-4651, online ISSN 1531-298X), which is published monthly (one volume per year) by the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB), is in its 15th year of publication. Within three years of its initial publication, The Plant Cell ranked first in impact among journals publishing primary research in the plant sciences. It has continued to maintain this standard of excellence ever since.

The Plant Cell
publishes novel research of special significance in plant biology, especially in the areas of cellular biology, molecular biology, genetics, development, and evolution. The primary criterion for publication is new insight that is of broad interest to plant biologists, not only to specialists, and the presentation of results must be appropriate for a wide audience of plant biologists.
The Plant Cell
was founded on four key tenets: (1) to publish the most exciting, cutting-edge research in plant cellular and molecular biology, (2) to provide the most rapid turn-around time possible for reviewing and publishing a research paper, (3) to feature the highest quality reproduction of data, and (4) to provide, in the front section of the journal, a more interactive format for commentaries, opinion pieces, and the exchange of information and ideas in review articles, meeting reports, and insightful overviews of featured research papers. Moreover, our all-review issues, each of which focuses on a specific area of plant biology, are highly regarded teaching and reference tools.

Platelets
is an international, fully peer-reviewed journal covering all aspects of platelet-related research. The Journal publishes original articles, review articles and correspondence on blood platelets and platelet-related areas with a view to providing a focus for new information on all aspects of this important blood component.

Until now there has been no outlet specifically for work on platelets, and it has been necessary to monitor journals relating to several disciplines to keep up with progress on platelet behaviour, biochemistry, pharmacology, interaction with other cells in the blood vessel wall, and the contribution of platelets and platelet-derived products to health and disease. Platelets enables those who wish to keep up with research progress in both basic and clinical aspects of platelets to do so more easily.

Protein Science
serves as an international forum for publishing original reports on proteins in the broadest sense. The Journal aims to unify this field by cutting across established disciplinary lines and focusing on “protein-centered” science.
Protein Science
encompases the structure, function, and biochemical significance of proteins; their role in molecular and cell biology, genetics, and evolution; and their regulation and mechanisms of action. Representative topics include, but are not limited to, the structure of proteins and strategies of determining protein structure by chemical, biophysical, and recombinant methods; peptides; protein domains; protein folding and molecular dynamics; novel isolation procedures; enzyme action and regulation; interactions of proteins with nucleic acids, lipids, ligands, and other proteins; receptor-mediated signal transduction and other trans-membrane phenomena; the functions of proteins in replication, supramolecular assembly, immune reactions, development, and other biological processes; protein trafficking, synthesis, and sorting; and the recognition, localization and signaling of proteins. In addition to the investigative techniques already mentioned, the Journal will publish results of protein-centered work involving sequencing, modification, and mass spectrometry; cDNA, mutagenesis, and cloning; computational analysis; isolation and characterization; thermodynamics and hydrodynamics; kinetics; and equilibrium phenomena. Please contact the Editorial Office or the Associate Editors for clarification of appropriate subject matter.

Psychology and Psychotherapy: Theory Research & Practice

BB SIIC. Ingreso: 2004-
Editor: Phil Richardson (Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust, London and University of Essex)
Psychology and Psychotherapy: Theory Research and Practice (formerly The British Journal of Medical Psychology) is an international journal with a focus on the psychological aspects of mental health, psychological problems and their psychotherapeutic treatments. Its aim has been to bring together the psychiatric and psychological disciplines and this is reflected in the composition of the Editorial Team. Nevertheless we welcome submissions from mental health professionals and researchers from all relevant professional backgrounds. The traditional orientation of the Journal has been towards psychodynamic and interpersonal approaches, which have defined its core identity, but we now additionally welcome submissions of original theoretical and research-based papers of any theoretical provenance provided they have a bearing upon vulnerability to, adjustment to, assessment of, and recovery (assisted or otherwise) from psychological disorders. The Journal thus aims to promote theoretical and research developments in the fields of subjective psychological states and dispositions, interpersonal attitudes, behaviour and relationships and psychological therapies (including both process and outcome research) where mental health is concerned. Submission of systematic reviews and other research reports which support evidence-based practice is also welcomed. Clinical or case studies will be considered only if they illustrate particularly unusual forms of psychopathology or innovative forms of therapy which carry important theoretical implications.
Abstracted In: Biological Abstracts (BIOSIS), EMBASE/Excerpta Medica, Psychological Abstracts (PsychINFO), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), SIIC Data Bases and all major databases.
