DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF LUNG CARCINOMA WITH LABEL-FREE IMAGING
This report describes a new class of endomicroscopy that combines chemical selective molecular vibrational imaging techniques, such as coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) imaging, with fiber optic delivery and quantitative analytics for obtaining histology-like images from inside the human body in real-time with no label. Endomicroscopes generally can achieve a resolution on the order of a µm and have a field-of-view of several hundred µm. Current endomicroscope products, however, often require fluorophores, which are excitable using laser lights, and limit their applications in clinics. The objective of the proposed label-free endomicroscope is to sidestep the use of flourophores by visualizing morphological patterns and detecting intrinsic biomarkers of cells and tissues via high-speed, chemical selective CARS imaging. The label-free endomicroscope is developed to post-process and characterize CARS images and provide diagnostic information using disease-related features and classification. The prototype device has shown high accuracy and specificity for differential lung cancer diagnosis and thus demonstrated its potential for clinical translations.

ADVANTAGES OF PERICHONDRIALLY ATTACHED EAR DICED CARTILAGE IN RHINOPLASTY INDICATORS OF GRAFT CARTILAGE VIABILITY, SHAP
Conchal cartilage is elastic, and has a thick perichondrium; it is also easy to harvest and leaves no visible scars. In perichondrially attached diced conchal cartilage, the graft stays in one piece by the underlying soft tissue, and has the capacity to take any form, provide a solid structure, be sutured into place, and even serve as a cover in patients with thin nasal skin; there is also no resorption, even a minimal growth is size. In conclusion, this technique transforms the weak and irregular conchal cartilage into an optimal graft material.

TISSUE ENGINEERING FOR SOFT PALATE REPAIR
Children with a cleft in the soft palate have difficulties with speech, swallowing, and sucking. Although surgical repair ameliorates soft palate function by joining the clefted muscles of the soft palate, optimal function is often not achieved. Adjuvant strategies based on tissue engineering may improve the outcome after surgery by approaching these specific issues.
