Journal of Viral Entry

Viral entry is currently one of the fastest expanding and most promising areas within antiviral therapy research. The Journal of Viral Entry has been designed to provide easy access to the increasing amount of data on our understanding of the cellular and molecular basis for viral entry into host cells, and the clinical potential that lies within this field for development of new drugs for improved management of patients with viral disease.
The journal was officially launched at the International AIDS Symposium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in July 2005, and was a great success. We are delighted that the positive feedback since has continued, and that the readership has increased at a fast pace with hundreds of new subscribers signing up at subsequent conferences, including over 800 at the recent AIDS 2006 in Toronto, ON, Canada, 13–18 August 2006.
Each issue of The Journal of Viral Entry features in-depth review articles discussing current and emerging topics of clinical interest (our "Leading Articles"). We also present an ongoing, systematic review of key articles as selected from the international literature by the Editors-in-Chief (our "Clinical Reviews", written by the Editors), alongside reports from the major international meetings.
