Potencial importancia da dieta na estrutura e funcionalidade vascular e complicações patológicas relacionadas

INTERACÇÕES POSITIVAS OU NEGATIVAS DA DIETA COM A PAREDE VASCULAR

As características estruturais e funcionais do endotélio vascular tendem a ser profundamente afectadas pela composição da dieta consumida habitualmente. Dietas ricas em gorduras saturadas são causa frequente de hipercolesterolemia e de outros tipos de dislipidemia, que se repercutem na disfunção endotelial, desenvolvimento da aterosclerose e subsequentes complicações tromboembólicas.
