Avaliação intelectual sistematizada de uma coorte de prematuros de muito baixo peso ao nascer, acompanhados até a idade pré-escolar

DESENVOLVIMENTO COGNITIVO DE PREMATUROS NA IDADE PRÉ-ESCOLAR

Foi realizada uma avaliação sistematizada do desenvolvimento cognitivo de uma coorte de prematuros de muito baixo peso, acompanhada até a idade pré-escolar, utilizando o teste psicométrico WPPSI-R. Avaliaram-se crianças pré-escolares nascidas a termo, para comparação. Os prematuros apresentavam funcionamento intelectual limítrofe no momento da avaliação, indicando possível dificuldade escolar.
