El análisis de actividad de la enzima ALA-D reactivada constituye una herramienta muy eficaz para evaluar el grado de contaminación por plomo en muestras de sangre de P. lineatus (sábalo).

EVIDENCIAS DE LA PRESENCIA DE PLOMO EN EFLUENTES CLOACALES

Ejemplares de sábalos provenientes de zonas aledañas a descargas de efluentes cloacales presentaron mayores niveles de plomo que organismos de otros lugares. Los niveles bioacumulados no pudieron correlacionarse significativamente con la actividad de ALA-D. En cambio, la reactivación de la enzima permitió evidenciar porcentajes de inhibición entre 27-49%.
