TRANSFERÊNCIA PLACENTÁRIA DE DROGAS

O obstetra deve estar atento à transferência placentária de drogas e à exposição do feto a agentes teratogênicos ou tóxicos, que podem comprometer o seu desenvolvimento. Muitas drogas lícitas e ilícitas acabam sendo usadas por pacientes durante o período gestacional, porém por motivos éticos e de segurança, apenas um limitado número de drogas são estudadas na gestação.
