SEARCH OF AN ANIMAL MODEL FOR BIOMECHANICAL TESTING OF DENTAL IMPLANTS

The newly developed implants need animal trials before human use. Live animals are generally used for prospective biological changes whereas cadaveric ones can be used for biomechanical purpose. Cadaveric goat jaws which do not encroach upon ethical issues can be used as an in-vitro model for biomechanical dental implant studies.
